北大西洋涛动活动中心空间位移年际年代际变化

Abstract:

利用TwentiethCenturyReanalysis(V2)月平均再分析资料,通过对冬季平均海平面气压(SLP)距平场上北大西洋涛动(NAO)活动中心空间位置的直接确认,建立4个NAO空间位移指数反映NAO活动中心空间位移特征,发现NAO南北活动中心的经向位移趋势与纬向位移表现非常一致,表现为NAO活动中心往往沿着西南-东北方向移动.多窗谱分析显示,NAO空间位移指数的周期主要集中在2~6年,与NAO指数的高频变化存在共同的2~3年的振荡周期.在年代际变化上,NAO指数与NAO空间位移指数有显著的正相关关系.但在年际变化上,NAO指数与NAO北活动中心纬向位移的关系却并不显著.NAO指数与NAO活动中心年际变化的联系很可能是通过天气尺度的Rossby波破碎(RWB)产生作用的,在NAO正(负)位相阶段,伴随着反气旋性波破碎(气旋性波破碎)事件,NAO活动中心偏北(南),且NAO南活动中心偏东(西),而NAO北活动中心在纬向上没有发生明显偏移.虽然北大西洋地区平均纬向风强度与NAO空间位移指数存在显著的正相关关系,但这很可能只是NAO指数对NAO活动中心空间位移影响的外在表现.
