Abstract:

Themethaneadsorption/desorptioncapacityandcharacteristicswererelatedtothedegreeofcoalmetamorphismanddeformationstructure.Theisothermaladsorption/desorptionexperimentoffivemediumandhighranktectonicdeformationcoalssamplesattypicalminingfieldsinHenanProvincewereconducted,theresultsshowedthatthemethaneadsorptioncapacityofweakbrittletectonicdeformationcoalsofmediumandhighrankincreasedwithincreasingalongwiththedegreeofcoalmetamorphism.Asthepressurerised,theincrementofmethaneabsorptionquantitydecreasedgraduallyandtendedtozero,whiletheincrementofmethaneabsorptionquantityincreasedwiththeincrementofthedegreeofcoalmetamorphism.Themethanedesorptionquantityduringunitpressurewithintheperiodincreasedwithpowerfunctionwiththepressuredecreasing.Withthedegreeofcoalmetamorphismincreased,themethanedesorptionquantityduringunitpressurewithintheperiodincreased.Themethanedesorptionquantitycurvewasmonotoneincreasinglogarithmicfunctionwithpressuredecreasedtodifferenttectonicdeformationcoals,themethanedesorptionquantitywasimprovedwiththeincreasingtectonicdeformationdegree.
