Abstract:

?风成粉尘是远洋沉积物中主要陆源组分之一,其搬运距离、粒度及含量随气候条件而变化,可用于古气候演化重建.本文以西北太平洋ODP882A孔深海沉积物为研究对象,利用重力分异的方法分离出其中不同粒径组分(<8,8~16,16~64,>64μm),并对各组分进行了详细的岩石磁学研究.结果表明钻孔中粉尘组分(<8μm)的磁性矿物以磁铁矿和赤铁矿为主.本文所研究的样品年代覆盖2.85~2.55Ma,其中2.73Ma对应于北半球冰川作用增强时期.在此之前的风成粉尘组分的强磁性矿物含量较少,而在冰川作用增强之后,强磁性矿物含量突然增加.与之对比,冰筏碎屑(>64μm)组分对样品的磁性贡献不大.因此,我们认为在2.73Ma前后样品磁性增强主要是由亚洲粉尘输入量的增加引起.这种新机制为进一步探讨该区的古环境信息提供了新的研究思路.
