近148年塞舌尔珊瑚氧同位素记录的热带印度洋海盆模态

Abstract:

?在厄尔尼诺-南方涛动(ENSO)事件的后期,热带印度洋海表温度(SST)会呈现海盆尺度一致增暖或冷却的分布,被称为印度洋海盆模态(IOBM).近几年的研究表明,IOBM是热带印度洋SST年际变化最主要的模态,影响了从印度洋到西太平洋及周边区域的气候.对西印度洋塞舌尔群岛(Seychelles)近148年的珊瑚氧同位素(δ18O)资料的再研究表明,该珊瑚δ18O能非常好地指示西印度洋局地SST的季节变化和长期变化,且能够表征热带印度洋海盆尺度SST的年际变化.进一步的研究显示δ18O所表征的IOBM具有3~7年的年际变化周期,并受年代际变化的调制.通过与全球海温资料的相关分析发现,该珊瑚δ18O信号滞后热带太平洋SST变化约5个月,在ENSO盛期次年春季相关达到最大.其空间分布显示塞舌尔群岛位于IOBM模态的关键海区,能够用来表征IOBM以及ENSO对印度洋的大气遥相关效应.这表明塞舌尔群岛的珊瑚氧同位素序列可以作为IOBM代用指数,用以研究印度洋气候的长期变化.
