The hole spectral function and the relationship between overlap functions, natural orbitals and the one-body density matrix in nucleiDOI: 10.1088/0954-3899/21/10/007 Abstract: A method to calculate the hole spectral function in the discrete part of the spectrum is suggested within the natural orbital representation of the one-body density matrix of $A$-nucleon system using its relationship with the overlap functions of the eigenstates in the $(A-1)$-nucleon system.
