An esophagogram demonstrated severeesophageal stricture. Flexible endoscopic dilatation was performed under general anesthesia, but sudden onset respiratory distress and progressive abdominal distention were noted duringthe procedure. We herein report our experience with the successful management of thiscomplication in an infant.
