A FINITE ELEMENT PROGRAM FOR STEADY-STATE HEAT CONDUCTION PROBLEMS IN COMPLEX THREE-DIMENSIONAL GEOMETRYAbstract: The paper is concerned with the finite element model and computer program for steady - state inhomogeneous and anisotropic heat conduction problems. FEM equations based on the Galerkin orthogonalization technique are established in general form referred to any orthogonal curvilinear-system of global coordinates. The considerable saving of computer storage is achieved due to using the effective technique of storing sparse symmetric matrices. Description of the program organization is presented along with concise instructions for possible users. Eventually three illustrative technical problems dealt with complex geometry are solved to demonstrate usefulness of the presented program.
