Ara t rma i in veriler, yüz yüze yap lan anketler arac l yla Antalya KUR’a kayda gelen i sizlerden May s-Haziran 2010’da toplanm t r. Ara t rman n evrenini, Antalya KUR’a kay tl 31.000 dolay ndaki i siz olu turmaktad r. Bu evrenden basit tesadüf rnekleme y ntemi ile belirlenen 610 i size anket uygulamas ger ekle tirilmi tir. Verilerin analizi ve tan mlay c istatistikleri i in “SPSS for Windows 19.0” paket program kullan lm t r. sizlik ile psikolojik s k nt aras ndaki hipotetik path modeli “LISREL 8.7” ile analiz edilmi tir. Ara t rma bulgular na g re, i sizlik süresinde erkekler, kad nlara k yasla daha fazla parasal s k nt ve daha yüksek düzeyde psikolojik s k nt ya amaktad r; parasal s k nt , erkeklerin psikolojik sa l n kad nlardan daha fazla etkilemektedir. sizlik sonucu ya anan parasal s k nt , erkeklerin ya am tatminini de kad nlara oranla daha olumsuz etkilemektedir. English AbstractThe purpose of this study is to examine the psychological conditions of the unemployed in Antalya. In this context, the aim of this study is to investigate the effects on self-esteem and life satisfaction unemployment in the financial distress as a result of the overall health of individuals and their impact on life satisfaction and overall health. Data were collected from unemployed registered to KUR through face-to-face surveys between May and June of 2010. In this context, the population of the research was 31.000 unemployed which have been registered to Antalya Provincial Directorate of KUR. The research was conducted with 610 which were selected by random sampling from unemployed registered to KUR. “SPSS for Windows 19.0” was used to analyse data and “LISREL 8.7” programs was used to test the model for men and women separately. Men are facing more financial strain and psychological distress in comparison with women in the process of unemployment. Financial strain is negatively effecting the psychological health and life satisfaction of men more than women.
