Cet article aborde la question de la citoyenneté en prison à partir de la perspective des acteurs sociaux. Après avoir présenté les difficultés de conceptualisation de la notion de citoyenneté et le travail théorique définissant le rapport à la citoyenneté , notre attention se portera sur la pluralité mais aussi sur la dynamique des rapports à la citoyenneté des détenus. L’analyse repose sur une typologie qui met en évidence l’existence de quatre tendances où l’on notera pour chaque type une appréhension spécifique de la vie carcérale. This article deals with the question of citizenship among prisoners within a framework that sees them as social actors. First, the difficulties of conceptualising the notion of citizenship are presented together with an account of the theoretical work underlying the attempt to relate citizenship to prisoners. Thereafter, attention is focused on the plurality as well as the dynamics of these relations. The analysis made is based on a prisoner typology that revealed the existence of four propensities within each typological category to manifest a specific approach to prison life. Full Text
