The emergence of a new kind of communication carried out through digital technologies is bringing back the discussions about the plausibility of a deliberative democracy pattern which, in this new perspective, would be anchored in the potentialities of the new medium. This work aims to raise some issues about the interface between new media and democracy, attempting to visualize in which ways the use of cyberspace can improve popular participation in democratic process.
