ANTICANCER ACTIVITY OF NEW COPPER(II) COMPLEXES INCORPORATING A PYRIDOXAL-SEMICARBAZONE LIGAND

Three newly synthe-si-zed cop-per com-ple-xes with pyri-do-xal se-mi-car-ba-zo-ne (PLSC), as li-gand, af-ter be-ing su-bjec-ted to bi-o-lo-gi-cal tests, sho-wed an-ti-can-cer ac-ti-vity. As li-gand PLSC is bi-o-lo-gi-cally ac-ti-ve, the re-sults of bi-o-lo-gi-cal ac-ti-vity are as ex-pec-ted. Spe-ci-fi-cally, an ac-ti-vity was de-mon-stra-ted in bre-ast can-cer cells (MCF7 and MDA MB 231) and pro-li-fe-ra-ti-ve cells (MCF7).
