Si presentano le motivazioni che hanno portato a questo risultato e le modalità di realizzazione. Altri corsi on-line a supporto del calcolo numerico intensivo potranno presto affiancarsi a questo se l’interesse verso questo tipo di iniziative continuerà a mostrarsi vivace. The Fortran programming for high performance computing course is now available on-line, hosted on a customization of the Open Source learning platform Moodle. The reasons that brought to the project and the techniques used for realising it are sketched. On the basis of the interest other on-line courses on high performance computing techniques will readily become a reality.
