Fenomenología de la violencia

This article implies the attempt of placing the phenomenon of violence, as a total social fact (Fait Social), in an intersubjective perspective. A point of view that will allow us to understand an aspect of human life that can be considered inherent to the civilizatory process. In this regard, violence is considered a human construction and, therefore, built in a relational, intersubjective way. From this point of view, phenomenology arises as the more appropriate methodological device for the study of violence and its construction – it allows us to build and display the produced knowledge in a parallel way as it occurs in human reality itself: introduces consciousness on knowledge, that is, provides a second order reality, introduces reflexivity. A (visual) metaphor of such construction is given to us through the film The Truman Show, from its genealogy to its social display. This way becomes evident the incongruence or delusion that implies the opposition between civilization and violence.
