Trabajando contra la violencia de sexo/género

The article proposes to reflect on the sex/gender violence problem from a feminist psychoanalytic perspective revealing and heightening the significant dissemination, ie, the work with words, it tries to deconstruct the gender's notions from a political dimension and historicize the regulations of hegemonic thinking, favoring the femininity approach from the sexual difference issue point of view. This approach allows the expansion of the possible meanings and their visibility beyond the discourse, what's not said operates in a decisive matter constructing subjectivities, even more so when it comes to strengthening the control of one sex over the other. In this context, the text begins by addressing the importance of the denomination under which each country places the gender violence problem, revealing concepts that are to be reinforced with the name and which underlie to such designation. So forth, it discusses the theoretical path, clinical and political work against violence, carried out by a renowned Chilean feminist institution that allows us to extract reflections, lessons and most of all new questions to think about a clinic for the difference. Finally, some recent government initiatives have been criticized, such as the femicide integration and visibility as a statistical indicator of such problem and creation of treatment centers for men accused of violence against women, an ambitious project that opens us to reflect on the quality of love between men and women.
