Configuraciones sociales y teoría social

This article reviews the conditions of emergent of the social sciences; primary in one of its assumptions is the existent organizer and anchor of nation-states. From this mark, and given the changes that have occurred in particular in the last third of the last century that have had the effect of moving the state from the center of social organization, it is argued on the need for a new framework of social theory. This will make brief reference to the indications already exist in this regard, and it is postu-lated, finally, the need to review the body of theory developed by Marx and Engels, as a supple instrument for the stage of the XXI century.
