A rea o do basileus Heráclio (c. 575-641) frente aos judeus e árabes no Livro IV da Cr nica de Fredegário ( c. 660): amea as apocalípticas? Keywords: Heraclius , Jews , Arabs , Fredegar , Apocalypse Abstract: In this work, we present the means by which the merovingian chronicler Fredegar ( c. 660) described the religious and military politics of basileus Heraclius (c. 575-641) against the Jews and Arabs, respectively. Such peoples were represented by the chronicler as apocalyptic threats that should be detained in anyway before the Last Judgement. Furthermore, we focus (in a secundary stage) on how Fredegar conceived the image of Heraclius from the reaction of basileus in the presence of these enemies. For this, we use as documental corpus the Book IV of Fredegar’s Chronicle, particularly the chapters 65, 66 and 81.
