The Aporé River is a major right bank tributary of the Paranaíba River in the area of the Goias and Mato Grosso do Sul States, and has the characteristic fauna of the Upper Paraná River basin. Studies of fish in the river basin Paranaíba are very scarce in the portion of Goiás State. This study aimed to survey the fish fauna of fish from the Prata River, at its confluence with river Aporé, in the municipality of Aporé, GO. For the inventory collection methods were used quantitative and qualitative. We captured 306 individuals belonging to 30 species, 20 genera, 13 families and 5 orders. The results contribute to the knowledge of the fish fauna of the river basin in the stretch Paranaíba, in the state of Goias. However, deeper studies in the region are still extremely important to design strategies for conservations measures. O rio Aporé é um dos principais afluentes da margem direita do rio Paranaíba nas divisas dos estados de Goiáse Mato Grosso do Sul e apresenta uma fauna característica da bacia do Alto Paraná. Os Estudos de peixes nabacia do rio Paranaíba s o muito escassos na por o goiana. O presente trabalho teve por objetivo inventariara ictiofauna de peixes do rio da Prata, na sua confluência com o rio Aporé, no município de Aporé, GO. Para arealiza o do inventário foram utilizados métodos de coletas quantitativos e qualitativos. Foram capturados306 indivíduos, distribuídos em 30 espécies, 20 gêneros, 13 famílias e 5 ordens. Os resultados contribuempara o conhecimento da ictiofauna da bacia rio Paranaíba no trecho goiano. Porém estudos científicosmais aprofundados na regi o ainda s o de extrema importancia para se tra ar estratégias de conserva esadequadas.
