Desafios enfrentados pelos fornecedores de sistemas de gerenciamento de usinagem

Despite its advantages, the utilization of the Tool Management Systems is not widespread. Specialized suppliers of TM systems often have difficulty in demonstrating the benefits of using this kind of system. In order to contribute to discussions on this topic, a survey of suppliers of this kind of system was conducted in the Sao Paulo region in order to evaluate the main difficulties they encounter in promoting its acceptance by corporate customers. The survey employed questionnaires, and the results obtained were compared, when possible, with the expected behavior found in the existing literature. The data demonstrate a lack of opportunity in achieving greater competitiveness with the introduction of TM systems.
