Varicella of Chickenpox

Whereas chickenpox is a mild disease in otherwise healthy children, varicella virus in an immundeficient individual may lead to a more serious form Varicella vaccine is licensed for use in healthy children at 12 months of age. In all countries except the USA, one dose of vaccine is recommended for children at 12 months through 12 years;while in the USA ,a second dose at 4-6 years of age is recommended.
