Routine Vaccination Calenders in The World And Neighbouring CountriesKeywords: Immunization schedules in various countries Abstract: The major aim of immunization is the global eredication of diseases. Approximately 2.5 million children under five years of age die every year as a result of diseases that can be prevented by vaccination using currently available vaccines. An estimated 27 million infants and 40 million pregnant women were not immunized in 2003. For this reason the World Health Organization (WHO) aims to reach at least 90% national vaccination coverage and at least 80% vaccination coverage in every district or equivalent administrative unit. Each country determines its own immunuzation schedule according to its own national disesases burden data. In this review, we summurized immunization schedules of some of the developed countries and neighbouring countries.
