Abstract:

The experiment was conducted in Experimental Frog Federal University of Vi osa, in the period from 7 to 8 November 2010, aiming to assess the interspecific behavior of two species of frog, Leptodactylus labyrinthicus (frog-pepper) and Lithobates catesbeianus ( bullfrog) in different environments. In one stall (floor masonry) were placed 5 copies of pepper and five-frog bull-frogs with an average weight of 171.6 ± 157.8 ± 2g and 2g respectively. Bay 2 (ground floor) were placed 5-pepper frog specimens and 5 of bullfrog with average weight of 169.1 ± 157.8 ± 2g and 2g respectively. It was concluded that the circadian rhythm of the species involved has not changed and that the presence of different populations did not affect the behavior of animals in pens 1 and 2. So the frog and bullfrog pepper can occupy the same habitat. O experimento foi realizado no Ranário Experimental da Universidade Federal de Vi osa, no período de 7 a 8 de novembro de 2010, com o objetivo de avaliar o comportamento interespecífico de 2 espécies de r , Leptodactylus labyrinthicus (r -pimenta) e Lithobates catesbeianus (r -touro) em diferentes ambientes. Na baia 1 (piso de alvenaria) foram acondicionados 5 exemplares de r -pimenta e 5 de r -touro com peso médio de 171,6 ± 2g e 157,8 ± 2g respectivamente. Na baia 2 (piso de terra) foram acondicionados 5 exemplares de r -pimenta e 5 de r -touro com peso médio de 169,1± 2g e 157,8 ± 2g respectivamente. Concluiu-se que o ritmo circadiano das espécies envolvidas n o sofreu altera o e que a presen a de popula es diferentes n o interferiu no comportamento dos animais das baias 1 e 2. Sendo assim a r -pimenta e a r -touro podem ocupar o mesmo hábitat.
