COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS OF A SYSTEM UNDER HEADOF- LINE REPAIR APPROACH USING GUMBELHOUGAARD FAMILY COPULA

This paper develops a new mathematical model of a system with a novel approach,which consists of two independent repairable subsystems. The model is analyzed under “Headof-Line” repair policy considering two types of repair between two successive transitions at astage contrast to the normal practice of assuming single type of transition in all states.Supplementary variable technique, Laplace transformation and Gumbel-Hougaard family copulatechniques are applied to obtain the availability and cost analysis of the system. At last somenumerical examples have been taken to illustrate the model.
