Turismo, políticas y desigualdades en la Villa Ponta Negra - Brasil: El proyecto del Comercio de Servicios Sociales - SESC Tourism, Policy and Inequality in the Villa Ponta Negra - Brazil: The SESC Project

Este trabajo propone reflexiones acerca de las políticas -públicas o no- volcadas al desarrollo de las localidades donde existe la necesidad de realizar acciones sociales, especialmente de carácter educativo, buscando mostrar cómo el proyecto Vida en la Villa, desarrollado por el Comercio de Servicios Sociales - SESC de Ponta Negra ha alcanzado resultados significativos para la inclusión de la población local en la actividad turística. Siendo el barrio Ponta Negra uno de los principales receptores de turistas en Rio Grande do Norte, es relevante estudiar las transformaciones y cambios que han redefinido la configuración urbana y han provocado un gran sufrimiento a la población nativa del lugar. The present paper offers reflections on public- or no-t policies focusing on the development of localities where there is a need for social action, especially in education. It aims to present the project Vida na Vila developed by the Ponta Negra's SESC that has achieved significant results for the inclusion of local people in tourism and the social context in which it operates. Being Ponta Negra one of the main receivers of tourists to Rio Grande do Norte is relevant to study the transformations and changes that not only the urban form has been going, but mainly, by the native population of the place is suffering.
