Avances en la construccion del conocimiento del turismo: Pensando la disciplina del turismo desde una perspectiva integral Advances in the Construction of Knoledge of Tourism: Thinking the discipline of tourism from an integral perspective

Este ensayo repasa, a partir de considerar determinados tópicos establecidos por la autora, aunque guiados por algunas de las condiciones específicas que propiciaron la evolución y el desarrollo del conocimiento sobre el turismo aceptadas por Jafari (2005), los principales avances alcanzados en la construcción del conocimiento del turismo realizados desde Argentina y enmarcados en el contexto universal. Se parte de la idea de pensar el conocimiento desde una perspectiva integral y no fragmentada. Para ello, se consideran los procesos de ense anza y aprendizaje; la investigación, la producción de tesis, las publicaciones y los textos especializados; el surgimiento de grupos académicos y de investigación, los aportes de organizaciones y de reuniones académicas. Contextualiza brevemente los avances universales; plantea las críticas que aún persisten en Argentina, se desarrollan sus avances, y se finaliza esbozando algunos aportes respecto de hacia donde debería continuar evolucionando esta construcción disciplinar para dar lugar a una etapa superadora. This essay reviews, from considering certain topics set by the author, though guided by some of the specific conditions accepted by Jafari (2005) that led to the evolution and the development of the knowledge on tourism, the major progress in the construction of knowledge of tourism made from Argentina and framed in the universal context. It starts from the idea of thinking about knowledge from a holistic and not fragmented. To this end, the process of teaching and learning, research, production of theses, publications and specialized texts, the emergence of academic and research groups, the contributions of organizations and academic meetings can be considered. In order to contextualize universal progress, it raises the criticism that still persist in Argentina, developed its progress, and ends by outlining some inputs on where it should continue the evolve towards this construction discipline to result in a period exceeded.
