O Movimento Feminista durante a ditadura militar no Brasil e no Chile: conjugando as lutas pela democracia política com o direito ao corpoKeywords: feminist movement , Brazilian/Chilean militar dictatorship , women's rights , feminist press , alternative media Abstract: How to articulate the feminist movement inthe middle of the struggle for democracy that markedthe militar dictatorship in Brazil (1964-1985) and inChile (1973-1990)? How was the debate between thehuman rights and the women's specific demands onthe Brazilian and Chilean journals? The present textproposes, through a comparative perspective, to raisesome elements on the organization and struggleprocesses cast by the feminist movement in thementioned countries in the South Cone, observinghow women conjugated their political resistence tothe militar dictatorship with their demands in thesexuality field, such as contraceptions and abortion.To indicate the similarities and differences betweenthe two countries on the subject, the discourses of thealternative media, produced by the feministmovement, will be taken as reference. Here, theconflicts and confrontments with the conservativesectors and the left wing parties faced by the women'sorganizations, fighting for democracy and genderequality, are highlighted.
