Gliomatosis Cerebri: Two Cases

GC is defined as a diffuse glial tumor infiltrating the brain extensively, involving more than two lobes, frequently bilateral and often extending to infratentorial structures and even to the spinal cord preserving the architecture of the neuronal structures. Although involving wide regions, most important characteristic is preserving the architecture of normal neuronal tissue. Because of this reason, clinical findings are disproportionate to the extent of the brain involvement. Clinical findings include general neurologic symptoms such as headache, epileptic seizure, involving of corticospinal tracts findings, change of mental status, demantia, and visual disturbance.
