Ciudad de México: territorios de la exclusión

This text explores the destabilisations caused by social exclusion in the urban spaces of contemporary cities. In particular, the case of Mexico City and the public spaces of its historical centre, occupiedby groups of young people who live in its streets and squares, is analysed. Symptomatic faces of social exclusion, the street youth differentially use and re-appropriate public spaces of historical and patriotic importance, leaving on them the stamp of exclusion and marginality.
