Historia Oral y migraciones: Recursos para activar la memoria colectiva

This article attempts to reflect onmethodological aspects of oral history, used in a researchon regional migration in Santa Fe province, Argentina.The methodological tool was the analysis of the migrantsstories taking into account the different adaptive stagesfor which they were moving towards their final settlementin the region. During the investigation the memory of theinformants was activated with a trip to the formerhometown and furthermore an approach with localyouth through a training workshop for teachers in thearea. The tactics used gave interesting results, asmemories of childhood, home, or community of origin,experiences and habits that may have been modifiedthroughout its life until now.
