Análise estatística do modelo IBASE de balan o social de uma empresa do setor de siderurgia = Statistical analysis of the model IBASE of social report of a company of the steel sector

Esta pesquisa trata de analisar os investimentos sociais e ambientais de uma sociedade an nima decapital aberto, sediada no estado de Minas Gerais, do ramo de siderurgia. A proposta desta pesquisaé analisar a correla o entre o faturamento da empresa e os investimentos sociais e ambientais. Apesquisa foi classificada como descritiva, quanto aos objetivos; como quantitativa quanto à abordagemdos dados; e o procedimento técnico utilizado foi o estudo de caso. O período analisado foi ocompreendido entre os anos de 1998 e 2007, e o modelo de Balan o Social analisado foi modeloIBASE. A pesquisa mostrou que a correla o entre a Receita Líquida e os Indicadores SociaisInternos e Indicadores Sociais Externos é muito forte (r = 0,93 e r = 0,97, respectivamente). Apesquisa também apontou que a correla o entre as variáveis Receita Líquida e IndicadoresAmbientais tinha for a moderada. A tendência identificada em todas as séries de dados foi crescente. This research deals with analyzing the social and environmental investments in a publicly tradedcorporation headquartered in the state of Minas Gerais, in the industry of steel. The purpose of thisresearch is to use correlation to assess the environmental and social investments of the company anddescribe the behavior of these investments. The research was classified as descriptive of the aims, asquantitative on the data approach and the technical procedure used was a case study. The studyperiod was between 1998 and 2007 and the model of Social IBASE model was analyzed. Researchhas shown that the correlation between the Net and the Internal Social Indicators and Social Indicatorsis very strong (r = 0.93 and r = 0.97 respectively). The research also found that the correlation betweenthe Net and Environmental Indicators had moderate force. The trend identified in all data series wasgrowing.
