EXPERIMENTATION AND SIMULATION HYDROLOGIC PLICADED TO ENERGY USE IN THE RIVER BASIN HYDROKINETIC MARACá – APKeywords: hydrology , simulation , renewable energy , Amapá Abstract: In this work was realized a study of quantification and analysis of potential of hydrokinetic energy generation in the Middle Maraca River, Mazag o-AP, specifically in the Maraca Extractive Reserve. The basic principle of generation is the use the natural energy of river turbulent flow, it without the need to build dam. The objective was to obtain basic hydrologic information for use low power (up to 10 kW) in this remote region. Experimental analysis (hydrometric) and numerical (simulation) were performed to evaluate the hydraulic conditions in the section of interest in Maraca River. Hydrometric studies to quantify the hydraulic parameters were performed between July 2007 and August 2008. In the numerical analysis was used the IPHS1 computational system. The second analysis consisted of evaluating rainfall-runoff from rainfall data observed at the meteorological station near the study area. Experimental results show that hydrokinetic potential there is in the study area. However, numerically, it was noted that flow responses are immediate in relation with rainfall, mainly due to the physiographic features of the basin, increasing operational risks.
