Genealogies and Inquiries into Laziness from Macunaíma

Taking as a starting point the expression “Ai que pregui a!” in Mário de Andrade’s Macunaíma, this article deals with the political radicalism of the text and of the concept of laziness. Differing from the identity readings of this work, the article aims at establishing a dialogue with similar propositions in other traditions.
