El derecho a la libre determinación ha marcado desde sus inicios, el desarrollo de los derechos de los pueblos indígenas como sujetos de derecho, en la esfera internacional y nacional. En este trabajo se mostrará tal vinculación a través del análisis de los principales instrumentos internacionales en la materia y la recepción que de ellos se ha hecho en el derecho chileno.
