ANALYSIS OF SPOKEN FOLKTALES: A LINGUISTIC APPROACH

In this study, two folktales compiled from Gaziantep vicinity were analyzed with a linguistic/sociolinguistic perspective. For the present research, because of the priority linguistics adheres to spoken language, two folktales of Gaziantep district were recorded, some analyses at language/speech and utterance level were proposed and the impossibility of transferring some utterances in the spoken language directly to written language was observed
