A NEW SPECIES OF AMYCTERUS SCHOENHERR FROM THE PILBARA REGION OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA (COLEOPTERA: CURCULIONIDAE: CYCLOMINAE)DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.12976/jib/2013.1.5 Keywords: Amycterus , Curculionidae , new species , endemic , Pilbara , Western Australia , ventral structure , relationships , distributions , habitat Abstract: Amycterus pilbara sp. nov. is described and diagnosed. Its distribution appears to be restricted to the vicinity of the Fortescue River in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, based on available specimens. It is most closely allied to A. caudatus (W. J. Macleay) and A. flavosetosus (Ferguson), based on external structure. Four species of Amycterus Schoenherr are now known to occur in Western Australia.
