The neuroscientific treatise of 1925 by Constantin von Economo (1876-1931) and Georg Koskinas (1885-1975), an Atlas of the brain cortex, in re-mapping the cytoarchitecture of human brain confirms and develops the 1911 publications by Christfried Jakob (1866-1956), "Vom Tierhirn zum Menschenhirn" and "Das Menschenhirn". The present article gathers all the assessments and technical mentions that Economo and Koskinas made of Jakob's previous contributions.
