AbstractKeywords: Management , Globalization , Organizational communication , Labor market , Migration of the work force Abstract: The study proposes the analysis of the necessity for the Romanian firms’ management tomodernize in order to increase economic productivity within the European economic market. The approachwill tackle the most important aspects regarding labor market evolution, the necessity of a performanceorientedmanagement and leadership efficiency. A distinctive space will be devoted to organizationalcommunication mechanisms, in the newly created conditions due to the penetration of the occidental-typeorganizational culture, especially through the multinational companies. Main changes in the labor market, ata global level, are the consequence of the new migration wave of the work force, registered after 1989, fromand to the ex-communist countries, and to the adhesion of a part of these states, including Romania, to theEuropean Union. All these evolutions impose a new organizational type, a new management, but also a newtype of employee, selected upon his/her competences.
