The Theoretical Framework of the Young Turks Movement

The objective of this study is to produce a theoretical framework of the Ottoman-Turkish process of revolution. This was tried to be accomplished by studying on the ideological debates and demands of the Young Turks before 1908 and determining the limits of the movement in the transformation of the Ottoman political structure. With a provident approach, the Young Turks movement described as a “revolutionary process” even if it ended up with a revolution or not and the ideological properties of it had been analysed.
