Enhanced Fertility After Diagnostic Hysterosalpingography in Unexplained InfertilityAbstract: "nthe population (10-15%). It causes serious problems for the family. There are different methods for infertility evaluation and treatment. Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is One of the routine tests, since 1922.It is the first test for the evaluation of the tube, uterus body and cervix simultaneously. "nMaterials and Methods: This descriptive outcome clinical trial study was performed as a case series on 117 patients referred to the radiology clinic. They were followed for 2 years. The data were analyzed by SPSS ver.14.The statistical test included the Student’s t test, chi square and Fisher’s exact test. "nResults: The mean±SD age of the patients was 26±4.7; the duration of infertility was 6 years. 98 (83.8%) cases had one or both patent tubes in HSG. They did not have any causes of infertility. 51 (43.6%) patients became pregnant during 2 years, 86.3% of them became pregnant during 6months after HSG. 95% CI (34.6-52.6%) "nConclusion: HSG has a significant role in the diagnosis of infertility and its treatment in spite of the new techniques and methods. But a 6 month follow-up and control of the patients is recommended after HSG. If HSG failed, we can use other procedures such as laparoscopy. "nKeywords: Hysterosalpingography, Infertility Treatment
