Multiple myeloma masquerading as a pulmonary mass: A rare presentationKeywords: Pulmonary , multiple myeloma , extramedullary plasmacytoma (EMP). Abstract: Multiple myeloma represents malignant disorder of plasmacells. Tumour extension is primarily seen within thebone and bone marrow, despite widespread distributionof plasma cells in the body. Metastatic deposits outsidebone marrow (extramedullary) are uncommon even inadvanced multiple myeloma. Involvement of pulmonaryparenchyma by myeloma cells either as plasmacytoma oras a pulmonary infiltrate is rare and is related to aggressiveterminal phase of the disease.
