An Application About the Relationship Between Whistleblowing and Ethical Climate Ahlaki Olmayan Davran lar n Duyurulmas (Whistleblowing) ve Etik klimi li kisi üzerine Bir Uygulama

Abstract:

Whistleblowing can be defined as revealing non-ethical events or behaviors (like producing harmful foods even though marketing them as they are remedial) in an organization. Organizational Ethical Climate is the second concept used in this work. It consists of workers’ opinions about the ethical organizational culture of management. In this work the relationship between “whistleblowing” and “ethical climate” is searched. The questionnaire used to evaluate the relationship between whistleblowing and ethical climate are applied on 123 research assistants in public universities. In the application study it’s reached that there is not a significant relationship between whistleblowing and ethical climate. Even though it’s found that there is not a significant relationship between “whistleblowing” and “ethical climate”; a small significant relationship is discoveredbetween “whistleblowing” and “benevolent ethical climate”. Ahlaki olmayan davran lar n duyurulmas (Whistleblowing), bir i letmedeki etik olmayan davran ve olaylar n a a kar lmas olarak tan mlanabilir. Etik iklim ise al anlar n rgüt kültürünün etiksel boyutuyla ilgili g zlem ve g rü lerinden olu maktad r. Bu al ma, ‘Ahlaki olmayan davran lar n duyurulmas ’ ve ‘Etik iklim’ aras nda anlaml bir ili kinin mevcut olup olmad n ara t rmaktad r. ‘Ahlaki olmayan davran lar n duyurulmas ’ ve ‘Etik iklim’ aras ndaki ili kiyi l mek i in kullan lan anket al mas devlet üniversitelerindeki 123 ara t rma g revlisi üzerinde uygulanm t r. Uygulama al mas neticesinde “Ahlaki olmayan davran lar n duyurulmas ” ile “Etik klim” aras nda anlaml bir ili kinin bulunmamas na ra men; etik iklim boyutlar ndan biri olan “Yard msever Etik klim” ile “Ahlaki olmayan davran lar n duyurulmas ” aras ndaanlaml bir ili kinin mevcut oldu u sonucuna ula lm t r.
