Linguistique et fonctionnement du texte lyrique. Quelques considérationsKeywords: oetic discourse , poetic function , poetic writing , linguistic approach , poetic message , tropes. Abstract: : Our study is a reflection on the functioning of the poetic text according to some linguistic approaches. We consider that any analysis of poetry must begin with a linguistic insight on the elements of the discourse. In the 19th century, poets themselves stated that poetic language has as a main interest its own mechanisms. The first linguistic theory concerning poetic writing and its functions belongs to Roman Jakobson, form whom poetry is language in its aesthetic function, but also a social fact. The Russian functionalists, in their attempt to create a grammar of poetic language, raised several objections in the literary word. Nevertheless, we consider that Jakobson’s theory on the poetic function is one of the most valuable achievements in the linguistic field in what concerns poetical writing. Philosophy and poetics are also connected to poetic discourse, and may constitute a following step of its analysis, after the linguistic perspective.
