La contribution du clergé orthodoxe appartenant aux diocèses de Roman et Hu i au soutient de la lutte pour indépendance nationale

Russo-Turkish war of 1877-1878 years and the state independence of Romania have found two bishoprics in Moldova under the pastoral care of Isaiah Vicol, in Roman, respectively, of Joseph Gheorghian in Husi. After the country's involvement in war, these two bishops had to worry throughout the deployment of military hostilities, the engagement of all clergy in their dioceses in an effort to collect offerings to support the Romanian army. In this article we present in detail the acts and deeds that church ministers in this part of the country have taken for the purpose aforesaid
