Optimization Solution for Multiple Model Control Structures

The multiple model structures are specificcontrol solutions for some classes of systems withimportant nonlinearities or different functioningregimes. One of these structures’ specific problems isthe determination of the models number: an increasednumber leads to superior performances but verycomplex structure. The paper presents an originalmethodology for models number reducing withoutdecreasing the performances.This solution is of practical importance allowing facileimplementation on PLC and process computers. Theexperimental results prove the structure’sperformances.
