Study of refraction and simulation of reconstruction of an electromagnetic plane wave through a nonhomogeneous, stratified dielectric

The study of the fields on the separation surface between two media is identical to the study of the tension and current between two transmission lines of different characteristics. Propagation in each medium is then represented by an equivalent transmission line and the global structure, which can be regarded as a multilayer nonhomogeneous structure, consisting of several nonhomogeneous media, is characterized by its chain matrix, being equal to the product of the elementary chain matrixes, associated to each cell.
