La integración dinámica de las perspectivas nativas en la investigación etnográfica The dynamic integration of the native perspectives in ethnographic research

El objetivo de este artículo es contribuir al desarrollo de una comprensión adecuada de la naturaleza de la investigación etnográfica en la antropología social y cultural. A tal efecto, se emprende una revisión crítica de sus caracterizaciones como un intento de describir el mundo social desde el punto de vista de los actores y como una empresa fundada en el establecimiento de un diálogo entre las teorías nativas y la del etnógrafo. Apelando al análisis de algunos clásicos de la literatura etnográfica, se argüirá que la etnografía se caracteriza por una forma de integración dinámica de las perspectivas nativas en la descripción que opera como motor de la investigación y como uno de los requisitos centrales que deben satisfacer los textos etnográficos. This paper intends to contribute to the development of a proper understanding of the nature of ethnographic research in social and cultural anthropology. To this end, we will undertake a critical review of its characterizations as an attempt to describe the social world from the actors' point of view and as an enterprise founded in the development of a dialogue between the theories sustained by the natives and by the ethnographer. Drawing on the analysis of several classics of ethnographic literature, we will suggest that ethnography is characterized by a form of dynamic integration of the native perspectives into the description, and that this procedure operates as the research's driving force and as one of the central requirements that ethnographic texts must satisfy.
