Evaluation of the Training and Development Practices for Faculties of Professional Education in Uttarakhand State of India- A ProposalAbstract: Need for this paper arises for studying and analyzing thesystem of training need identification and actual trainingprogramme that are conducted for the teachers of higherprofessional education. We all must be aware that theworld surrounding us is changing at a very fast pacewhich makes it necessary for us to keep our self updatedwith it. Need for training arises not because we startlosing our skills but the actual scenario is that, it is the jobwhich is changing its nature with time and it becamenecessary for the job performer to meet him with thischange. For doing so training is one of the effective toolswhich can successfully accomplish this task. Like anyother job, the job expectation of a teacher is also changingwith time and to fulfill them a teacher of professionaleducation keeps himself updated with the change takingplace in his respective field.
