Territorio y huellas territoriales: una memoria del espacio vivido en el Gran Concepción, ChileKeywords: imaginaries of development , sustainable city , social geography. Abstract: Territory is a complex consequence of the appropriated process of the space. The experienced space is a concept that will permit to know how this space started to be appropriated. Researching this conceptual field for the study of the cities offers the possibility to discover other cities in the same place, far from the traditional scope in the cities research, like demographics, economics or urban fields. From the idea of the imaginaries of development, there is the real possibility to find forbidden territories and a re-interpretation of the social geography of the cities, from the experienced space. This article searches this exploration in the case of Concepción in south-central Chile, an industrial city and a real example of development and progress that we propose to study for this purpose.
