Ginseng is also known as Siberian ginseng, devil's shrub, eleuthero, touch-me-not, and wild pepper. Ginseng has been used to improve the body's resistance to stress and to increase vitality. However, the mechanisms underlying ginseng's effects remain to be investigated. Biological effects of ginseng are due to its anti-inflammatory effects, antineurological effect, hypoglycemia effect. Research has shown that drinking a cup of hot ginseng tea has an anti-inflammatory effect.
