From Daguerreotypes to artistic manipulations: a brief history of Brazilian Photography

Este artigo busca tra ar um breve panorama da história da fotografia, seus usos e linguagens, dirigindo o olhar para as produ es brasileiras, a partir da década de 1960 até os dias atuais, quando a imagem pós-fotográfica assume seu lugar dentro do mercado das artes visuais. Para isto, voltamos a nossa pesquisa para a quest o da mimese e para as diversas interven es / manipula es fotográficas que surgem desde a descoberta do primeiro daguerreótipo. ///// This paper intends to show a panorama about the history of photography, its uses and languages, directing the focus to Brazilian productions from the late 60 ‘s until present, when the image called “pos photography” is recognized in the market of the Visual Arts. So, this research treats the question of mimesis and the different interventions and photographic manipulations that arise since the discovery of the Daguerreotype.
