Effects of Nutrients on the Extracellular Lipase Production by Mutant Strain of Rhizopus oligosporous TUV-31Keywords: Lipase , rhizopus species , mutant , soyben Abstract: Mutant strain of Rhizopus oligosporous TUV-31 was used for the production of extracellular lipase by solid-state fermentation. Maximum lipase activity (76.69 /g) was observed when different nutrients were added to the substrate. Among different carbon sources Tween 80 at 0.5% was found to be the best carbon source. The best organic and inorganic nitrogen sources for lipolytic activity were soybean meal (1%) and ammonium sulphate (0.4%) respectively. Addition of egg yolk to fermentation medium enhanced the lipase production.
